在 PostgreSQL 伺服器處理某些含有 CASE/WHEN 命令的 SQL 陳述式的方式中發現一個缺陷。經驗證的遠端攻擊者可使用特製的 SQL 陳述式，造成 PostgreSQL 損毀，或洩漏幾個位元組的伺服器記憶體，或可能執行任意程式碼。(CVE-2016-5423)在 PostgreSQL 用戶端程式處理含有新行、歸位字元、雙引號或反斜線的資料庫與角色名稱的方式中，發現一個缺陷。透過特製這類物件名稱，擁有 CREATEDB 或 CREATEROLE 選項的角色可在超級使用者下次使用有弱點的用戶端程式執行維護時，將其權限提升為超級使用者。(CVE-2016-5424)
