在 libuser (實作了標準化介面的程式庫，可用於操控和管理使用者及群組帳戶) 中發現兩個安全性弱點，本機使用者可利用這兩個弱點導致拒絕服務或權限提升。CVE-2015-3245 在 usermode 套件的 userhelper 程式中使用 libuser 時，libuser 0.56.13-8 之前的版本和 0.60-7 之前的 0.60 版中，chfn 函式存有不完整黑名單弱點，允許本機使用者透過 GECOS 欄位中的新行字元，造成拒絕服務 (/etc/passwd 損毀)。
CVE-2015-3246 在 usermode 套件的 userhelper 程式中使用 libuser 時，libuser 0.56.13-8 之前的版本和 0.60-7 之前的 0.60 版會直接修改 /etc/passwd，進而允許本機使用者在修改期間造成一個錯誤，因此造成拒絕服務 (不一致的檔案狀態)。
注意：此問題可與 CVE-2015-3245 結合來取得權限。
此外，以 libuser 為基礎的 usermode 套件已依據更新的版本重建。
針對 Debian 7「Wheezy」，這些問題已在下列版本中修正
libuser 1:0.56.9.dfsg.1-1.2+deb7u1 usermode 1.109-1+deb7u2
