libssh 0.1 版和更新版本都有一個位元/位元組混淆錯誤，並針對 diffie-hellman-group1 和 diffie-hellman-group14 金鑰交換方法產生異常短的暫時密碼。
產生的密碼長度為 128 位元，而非分別建議的 1024 和 2048 位元大小。有一些實際演算法 (Baby steps/Giant steps、Pollard's rho) 可以解決 O(2^63) 運算中的此問題。

用戶端與伺服器都受到影響，預先驗證。具有足夠資源的 eavesdropper 可惡意利用此弱點解密或攔截 SSH 工作階段。libssh 團隊的 Aris Adamantiadis 在檢閱內部程式碼期間發現此錯誤。
