此版本是適用於 PostgreSQL 8.4 的最新版 LTS 更新。使用者應盡早移轉至新版 PostgreSQL。
## 移轉至 8.4.22lts6 版
若執行 8.4.X，則不需要轉儲存/還原。不過，如果您是從比 8.4.22 舊的版本升級，請參閱相關版本資訊。

某些情況下括弧運算式中極大的字元範圍可造成無限迴圈，其他情況下則會造成記憶體覆寫。

如果 postmaster.pid 檔案已移除，請立即關機 (Tom Lane)
postmaster 現在大約每分鐘會檢查一次 postmaster.pid 是否仍存在且仍包含其自己的 PID。若不存在，postmaster 就會當作已收到 SIGQUIT 並立即關機。此變更的主要動機為確保系統會清除失敗的 buildfarm 執行而不需要手動干預；不過也可用來限制 DBA 強制移除 postmaster.pid 再啟動新 postmaster 時造成的不良影響。
注意：Tenable Network Security 已直接從 DLA 安全性公告擷取前置描述區塊。Tenable 已盡量在不造成其他問題的前提下，嘗試自動清理並將其格式化。
