CVE-2015-3197：只要 SSLv2 通訊協定沒有同時透過 SSL_OP_NO_SSLv2 停用，即使所有 SSLv2 密碼皆已停用，惡意用戶端仍可交涉伺服器上已停用的 SSLv2 密碼，並完成 SSLv2 交握。此外，使用 DHE 加密套件時，一律會針對每個連線產生新的 DH 金鑰。
這將是套件 squeeze 版本的最後一個安全性更新。0.9.8 版本不再受支援，且 squeeze LTS 支援即將結束。如果您要使用 openssl，應升級至 wheezy，或偏好升級至 jessie。這些版本中的版本包含許多安全性改善功能。
