據發現，根據本機 umask，dbconfig-common 可進行 PostgreSQL 資料庫備份，其可由資料庫擁有者以外的使用者讀取。此問題在 1.8.46+squeeze.1 版本中修正。在將 dbconfig-common 升級至此版本期間，現有資料庫備份 (非僅針對 PostgreSQL) 的存取權將僅限於備份的擁有者。未來升級將不會變更存取權，以防本機系統管理員有特定需求。dbconfig-common 是 Debian 協助程式套件，其可由一些套件用來管理對應資料庫。
