據發現，PuTTY 的終端機模擬器未正確驗證 ECH (清除字元) 控制序列的參數，進而允許拒絕服務及可能的遠端程式碼執行。針對舊的穩定發行版本 (squeeze)，此問題已在 0.60+2010-02-20-1+squeeze4 版中修正。
針對舊的穩定發行版本 (wheezy) 和穩定的發行版本 (jessie)，此問題將於近期完成修正。
