Inria 的 Antoine Delignat-Lavaud 發現，NSS (Mozilla Network Security Service 程式庫) 剖析用於簽章之 ASN.1 資料的方式存有問題，導致容易遭受簽章偽造攻擊。攻擊者可製作 ASN.1 資料，以偽造含有受信任 CA 之有效憑證鏈結的 RSA 憑證。
此更新可修正 NSS 程式庫的這個問題。
但請注意，亦受 CVE-2014-1568 影響的 iceweasel 在 Squeeze(-LTS) 中已經終止，因此並未進行修正。
