在 MySQL 命令行用戶端工具 (mysql) 處理過長版本字串的方式中發現緩衝區溢位瑕疵。如果使用者透過 mysql 用戶端連線至惡意的 MySQL 伺服器，該伺服器就可能利用此瑕疵造成 mysql 用戶端當機，或可能以執行 mysql 用戶端的使用者身分執行任意程式碼。
