Mod_perl 將 Perl 解譯器與 Apache web 伺服器相互整合，使 Apache web 伺服器可直接執行 Perl 程式碼。
在 ModPerl::RegistryCooker 類別的「namespace_from_uri」方法中發現一個問題。如果伺服器使用此方法實作 mod_perl 登錄檔模組，則要求特製 URI 的遠端攻擊者可能造成資源消耗，進而可導致拒絕服務 (CVE-2007-1349)。
mod_perl 使用者應更新至這些錯字勘誤表套件，其中包含一個可更正此問題的反向移植修正。
