Linux/Unix 主機上安裝了一個或多個受到弱點影響的套件，且廠商未提供可用的修補程式。- aiosmtplib 是與 asyncio 搭配使用的非同步 SMTP 用戶端。在之前 5.1.2，src/aiosmtplib/protocol.py 中的SMTPProtocol.start_tls會耗用伺服器的 220 回應，並在不清除SMTPProtocol._buffer的情況下啟動 TLS 交握。作用中的網路攻擊者可將攻擊者選擇的 SMTP 回應行放在相同網段中的純文字 220 回應之後。然後，該方法調用loop.start_tls;這些位元組會在傳輸升級後繼續存在，並剖析為來自 TLS 工作階段內的第一個回應，從而取消同步後續的 SMTP 命令和回應配對。使用 start_tls=True 或機會性 STARTTLS 的連線會受到影響，而使用 use_tls=True 的連線則不會受到影響。5.1.2 版已修正此問題。(CVE-2026-55558)
